A Plague on Both Your Houses, Pt II.

"Whatever you do, don't smoke!" These words were immortalised when Yul Brynner died from Cancer, having pre-recorded an ad to tell people what he learned too late.
Really Long Link
This message has been ringing in my ears over the last week. My Dad had the cancerous tumour which had engulfed his oesophagus, reducing his food choices to those items that could be liquified, and which even then were more often than not regurgitated, cut out. With it went lymph nodes, his gall bladder, and half his stomach. He was cut open like a chicken carcass, had his giblets manhandled, and was patched up miraculously well considering the severity of the surgery and the brutal lead-up, consisting of numerous exploratory surgeries and chemo and radiotherapy, which sent his usually Sick Sinus Syndrome suffering heart into overdrive, and wrapped it in inflammation, and hospitalised him on the last day of the Sydney Test.
Now he is on life support. Tomorrow he gets a Tracheotomy.
Dear readers, whatever you do, don't smoke.
