Binga's Breakup
August 24th 2008 12:22
This is a sad, sad story. In a world where Warnie lands on his feet after any and every misdemenour, Glenn McGrath is a widower, and now Brett Lee is separated.
Something is not quite right with this lady. Maybe it's post-natal depression? Maybe she was really embarrassed by the Bollywood song? Maybe she decided she preferred Rugby to Cricket? Maybe it was the "hands on" comment? Who knows? But for Brett to be totally clueless as to why this has happened begs the question. Why didn't she tell him she wasn't happy? The Melbourne press thinks her possible infidelity was a part of this.
Really Long Link
I just hope that Liz is not in cahoots with the Womens' Magazines, to exploit the situation a la SImone and Shane with her exclusive story. I pray Brett hears her side before the world can read about it. However she's already approached the Sunday Telegraph, which has multiple articles on it from all angles, including the stereotypical torn photo graphic.

I pray little Preston is feeling secure in the love of both parents whilst all this is occurring. I pray they can talk out whatever needs to be said, so his future is a contented one.
What can we learn from any of this? Rushing relationships is never wise. You should know if you actually love the person before you do anything that can bring another human into the world. It is just a lot less messy that way. Otherwise, you should grit your teeth and stick to the promises you made to each other; for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and health, FORSAKING ALL OTHERS, etc. You can't take that sort of promise lightly.
I really hope Brett and Liz can salvage their marriage.
