Cricketing Community dons metaphorical Pink Armbands for Jane

In a tribute to the far-reaching reverence in which our Aussie cricketers and their families are held (though for a few notables, this reverence is displayed more often by those beyond those families than within it), taxi drivers in the West Indies are stopping Aussies in the streets to pass on their condolences.
Ironically, the Herald also ran this story today:
Really Long Link
Though not the biggest Bingle fan, I think perhaps the timing of this article, which juxtaposes the global impact of two cricketers' wives, is a little raw, considering Lara's father has also recently succumbed to cancer, and is probably feeling a bit emotional with Clarkey off on tour. People could make their own comparions between the contributions made by these women to Australian society, without the SMH making it clear.
