There's evil, and then there's this...

There are many historical accounts of people doing wrong in the name of religion. However, this story broke my heart.

How can a 19 month old be expected to say Amen every time it is expected?
This is a classic example of what happens when people make up their own ideas, rather than look at what God has revealed to us Himself through His Word.
I pray this little boy is in Jesus' arms now, where there is no more tears, crying or pain. No more being abused and isolated and labelled a demon. Forever as a child of God, in the arms of his saviour, who knows full well what it meant to be human.

This is a complete perversion of anything good. This is what happens when people make up their own ideas on how to "worship" God. This word "worship" is meant to mean giving God what he deserves, because of who he is and what he has done. Crushing the soul and body of one of his precious creations like Javon, does not give God what he deserves. Javon, like you and me, and the cult members themselves, have been created in God's Image.
God grieves when these things happen. Thankfully he can bring spiritual restoration and healing and peace, because his Son took the punishment that these sickos, and you and me, deserve from God for our wrong to him, when he suffered on the cross.
And thankfully there is a judicial system that is dealing with these people as well, so Javon gets some form of earthly justice, albeit way too late.
