Want to Cut the STI rate? Here's an idea...STOP SHAGGING STRANGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

September 27th 2009 02:29
Now is it just me, or does it seem a little odd that if you're too embarrassed to discuss contraception and safe sex with the person you're about to sleep with, then you're probably not well enough acquainted to have sex with them at all.
Your text goes here
Honestly! If you're comfortable enough to get your gear off, and share bodily fluids with, another person, then surely a little chat about potential infestations and infections are in order. It's the only polite thing to do. Maybe RSVP, who were involved in the research tabled in this article, could include questions of sexual health in their profiles, so that those cruising for a partner can peruse and choose their STI's, a la carte.

"Hmm, I've had Clamydia quite a lot recently, so I think I might go for something a little more fungal today."
"Are crabs on the menu?"
"I've really been craving a juicy, rare steak, with chilli jam and a nice Shiraz. I think I'll have the HIV with some Gonorrhea on the side."
Talk about "Tainted Love"...
It seems the responsible thing for RSVP to do, seeing their corporate image could be damaged. Who knows how many of their consumers feel they didn't get exactly what they asked for?

I'm glad you brought this up Jeannine, casual sex leads nowhere, the practice is disgusting and leads society nowhere. People can be so very disgusting in their habits. They do not know and never will, how to create a relationship and sustain it.

Unfortunately, ultimately it is children who suffer far too many having sex far too early in life.

This is disgusting too. They are not brought up properly, if at all.

Jeannine, when you tell someone else that you're the HIV positive or having AIDS, then I can 100% guarantee that not one will ever get close to us...

That's why, people should learn to protect themselves, especially the youngsters. Said no to free s*x...!

Hi Katy and Wilson,
Thanks for your comments.
Wilson, I feel it is terribly sad for the HIV sufferer that no one will get close, once they've revealed their status. I hope that doesn't preclude the HIV carrier from true intimacy.
By true intimacy I do not mean sex, but rather, non-physical relationships, where you can truly share your heart and mind with someone, who will love you despite your flaws, or illnesses.
That being said, when someone gives that sort of love to an HIV carrier, then they should honour and reciprocate that love by not putting their loved one at risk of infection, through sexual contact. Love puts others first.
